James T Blakeman (Services) Ltd produces cooked product for the catering and ready meal markets and provides a contract cooking service for meat products. In an expanding market that requires the convenience of a ready cooked product, Blakeman’s has the facility to provide deep fried, oven cooked and steamed products. Operating from a 57,000sq foot cooking and cold storage facility, in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, it is widely regarded as one of the most efficient in Europe and is capable of producing 100,000 standard size sausages every eight hours.
Jointly, the two Blakeman companies offer clients the opportunity to develop products to their own specification. Prior to production, bespoke recipes can be formulated in the development kitchen where the development team fine tunes recipes for taste, texture and appearance, to meet with customers exact specifications.
The versatility of the facility allows for the production of sausages, meatballs and stuffing balls in endless flavour and size combinations. We have created and produced an ever expanding list of spectacular products for clients, ranging from a pork and chorizo meatball, Aberdeen Angus meatball, gastro sausage, hot dog sausage as well as a collection of reduced fat, reduced sodium, sugar free and gluten free products.
